Cereus Peruvianus Monstrose is a Peruvian arid-zone species. Due to a genetic abnormality inside the apical meristems from which the plant's growth begins, this grey-blue cactus plant is also known as the "Peruvian Apple Cactus," and has an irregularly undulating and "folded" pattern on the stem ribs.

General

During maturation, the slow-growing cactus plant can grow up to 15 feet tall, producing huge white blooms that open only at night before giving way to tasty orange fruits that are similar to dragon fruit.

It blooms mostly in the summer, with huge (6-7 inch diameter), exotic white to pinkish-white flowers.

Cereus peruvianus monstrose is a stunning specimen cactus for a big succulent or cactus garden.

Sunlight

Your cactus plant will thrive in a hot and bright sunny location with no shade.

Sunburn can form in newly transplanted or relocated cacti if they are not gradually exposed to increased light exposures or oriented in the same direction as before.

Watering

Toxicity

The monstrous sap of Cereus peruvianus can cause stomach discomfort in pets. Because the spines are sharp, it's best to keep them out of reach of pets and little children.
