Brahmi Plant is widely known around the world for its restorative features and for promoting a peaceful night's sleep. Also known as the Gotu Kola plant, Brahmi Plant is a widely used plant in Indian Ayurvedic System. It is a small succulent plant with beautiful green leaves. They are low-maintenance indoor plants.

General

They are a native plant of wetlands of India, Australia, Europe, and Northern and Southern America.

Your Brahmi Plant is believed to improve the Vastu of your house and attract wealth and heath to your home. It absorbs Carbon dioxide and also helps to purify the air of your home.

They can grow up to 2-3 feet after reaching full maturity.

Sunlight

Your plant prefers bright indirect sunlight to grow in the best manner. Make sure to never place your Brahmi Plant in direct sunlight for more than 3 hours or their leaves may wither and dry.

The temperature should not go below 10℃ for your plant or the plant growth may start to decline as well. Hence, you must keep your plant indoors during the winter season or in excessively cold weather.

Watering

Unlike most of the plants, your Gotu Kola Plant requires to stay in moist to semi-moist soil for proper growth. You must never let the soil of your Brahmi Plant run completely dry.

You must water them once or twice a week during the summers and once every two weeks during winters.

Brahmi Plant can cope up with any environment. But it will grow at an optimum speed with a humidity of about 60-65%. They are a high humid loving plant, and hence, you can consider keeping them in your bathroom or kitchen areas.

Soil

Additional Care

Your Gotu Kola Plant requires trimming to maintain its beautiful shape and growing speed. You can trim your plant once or twice every two months to promote faster growth in them.

Make sure that the soil of your Brahmi Plant never dries out completely that cracks starting to show up otherwise the plant growth may start declining.
