Rasna Alpinia Galanga

Rasna, also known as Lesser galanga, is a popular plant for treating inflammatory and bacterial disorders. Alpinia galanga is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows up to 3-4 metres tall. Galanga plant's branches are creeping and have a cluster of leaves on them. The plant's dark green leaves are long and broad at the base but narrow at the tips.

General

Alpinia Galanga, a herb plant is the most commonly utilised plant in the treatment of swelling and inflammation.

It is used to treat a variety of ailments as a decoction or powder. Rasna is also known for its antibacterial properties and capacity to alleviate skin allergies.

Alpinia Galanga plant's flowers are around 3cm long and greenish-white in colour.

The plant's flowering season is May-June, while its fruiting season in August-September.
