ZZ Plant in Ceramic Pot

ZZ Plant or Zamioculcas Zamiifolia is an attractive and low maintenance tropical indoor plant. Zee Zee is perfect for beginners as it can tolerate low light and has low water requirements. These beauties grow from bright lime in their youth to shiny, oval-shaped emerald green in their maturity. Although it comes from the Philodendron family of skin-irritating plants, this is the safest one.

General

The ZZ plant can tolerate weeks of neglect making it a great choice for frequent travellers and office spaces.

ZZs are known to purify the surrounding air from deadly toxins like Toluene, Xylene, and Benzene making it one of the best Air Purifying Plants.

It can grow up to a height of 2 - 3 feet.

Sunlight

Even though your Zee Zee Plant prefers bright, indirect light, it can grow fine in low light as well. This makes it ideal to keep in Office Spaces and Washrooms

Watering

ZZs can survive months without water. Although, it will grow faster if watered more regularly (every one or two weeks).

Although regular garden soil is sufficient, for better drainage, you can mix in perlite or sand.

Fertilizer

Your plant does not require fertilizers to thrive. If required, use an indoor plant fertilizer diluted to half-strength one or two times during its active growing season (summer)
