Sansevieria Moonshine, popularly known as the Moonshine Snake Plant, is easy to care for an indoor succulent that adds elegance to any space. The unique pale silver-green hue of these beautiful succulent leaves gives it the appearance of being bathed in moonlight. This no-fuss and low maintenance plant can thrive of neglect making it the perfect choice for beginners. It's playfully referred to as the Mother in Laws Tongue Plant thanks to the sharp edges of its upright leaves.

General

The Sansevieria Moonshine can grow up to a height of 2 feet.

Sansevieria Moonshine is yet another NASA certified Air Purifying Plant, with the ability to remove formaldehyde and benzene from the air.

They may occasionally produce white, inconspicuous flowers.

Sunlight

Your Sansevieria Moonshine grows best in moderate to bright indirect sunlight. It can survive in both full sun and low light as well. Although, avoid direct sunlight as it can burn the leaves.

In low sunlight, the leaves may turn a darker shade

Watering

Being a succulent, your Moonshine Snake Plant is drought-tolerant. Water only when the top inches of the soil is completely dry to touch. This may amount to watering your plant once every 1-2 weeks in summer. Reduce watering frequency significantly during winter.

Please ensure the leaves remain dry while watering.

Soil

Sansevieria Trifasciata grows well in sandy and loamy soil with a good drainage system. You can use any potting mix to the soil to improve the drainage of your soil.

We ship your plant in a ceramic pot with a hole in the bottom that does not store and retain the moisture as it is dangerous for your Snake Plant that is highly prone to root rot.

Fertilizer

For an extra boost, you can fertilize your Sansevieria Moonshine monthly with a balanced houseplant fertiliser during the growing season. Avoid fertilising your plant in winters.

Toxicity

The Moonshine Plant is mildly toxic if ingested and not suitable for spaces with pets and children.

Additional Care

Your Moonshine Sansevieria is a hardy plant and generally not susceptible to any serious diseases and pests. If you do face any pest problem it is likely due to mealy bugs or spider mites.

Remove yellowing or dead leaves if you see signs of root rot.

The less attention you give your Moonshine Sansevieria the better it does.
