Sempervivum, Houseleek – Succulent Plant

A beautiful indoor plant, Sempervivum Plant is a hardy succulent plant that can tolerate any environment. Also known as the Hens and Chicks Plant, it is an evergreen plant that spreads rapidly by making their offshoots. The clusters of these plants look like the hen and its baby chicks and hence comes its name. Hence this plant is known as Raindrop Plant. They are fast-growing plants and hence, they are the best office plant to have.

General

They are native plants of the rocky regions of Europe and the Greek Islands.

Sempervivum Plant belongs to the Crassulaceae family and was believed to be a lucky plant for its owner in ancient times.

Your Sempervivum Plant can grow up to 6-12 inches tall when grown indoors.

Sunlight

Your Sempervivum Plant requires bright direct sunlight for about 4-6 hours daily to maintain their elegant foliages.

They can tolerate frost weather as well but keep them indoors during the winter season to boost their growing speed and health.

Watering

Water your Sempervivum Plant once a week during the summers. Make sure to never water your plant if the soil is damp or the topsoil is not dry to touch. Make sure to never overwater your plant or leave it standing in water or its roots may rot.
